Since Ann's School of Dance opened in Valley Center in 1977, thousands of local children and teens have gained self-esteem, poise, confidence and improved posture while learning an art form that will enhance their lives forever. Our goal is to discover and develop the varied talents that spark an enthusiastic appreciation and understanding of the arts through music and dance.
Miss Ann has studied many forms of dance with leading teachers throughout the U.S. These include Charles Grass, Tommy Sutton, Jack Tygett, Peter Genero, Joe Tremaine, Gus Giordano, Luigi and many others. She has studied with the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Artists, Inc., Western Illinois University, Take "5" Workshops, H & H Dance Troupe, Dance in Action, Palomar College, Tremaine Conventions, Hoctor Dance Caravan and Dance Educators of America. She attended U.S. International University, San Diego and Western Illinois University. Miss Ann began student teaching at the age of 12 and later taught in Iowa and Illinois. She has held leading roles in dance productions such as "Cinderella," and has performed locally many times.
Some of the studio's local productions include " La Boutique Fantasque," "Cinderella," "Sleeping Beauty," "Aladdin's Magic Lamp," and "Alice in Wonderland.” Original themes include "Soda Fountain Rag," "School Daze," "Happy Birthday Broadway," and "I'm Going to Disneyland," to name a few.
